How I Dry My Brushes With The Benjabelle

Hey Belleza’s,

If you haven’t noticed all of my posts this past week have been on makeup brushes. This post will close out my “installments” of makeup brushes.

Not only do you have to make sure that you are washing your brushes the right way. You also want to make sure that you are drying your brushes the right way. The best way to dry your brushes is by either laying them flat or at an angle on a dry towel, or by drying them upside down. Drying your brushes standing straight up in a makeup holder is bad for them.

By standing your brushes straight up it causes the water to drip down into the ferrule (metal piece). When water gets into the ferrule it can cause the glue to loosen and can also cause the ferrule to rust, both of which can cause the bristles to fall out.

Last month, I was watching a video by Kandee Johnson (I LOVE HER!!!) and she showed this awesome product that you can hang your brushes in to dry.

It’s called the Benjabelle!

The Benjabelle is a brush tree stand that you place your brushes in and they dry hanging upside down. What a GREAT idea!! Now the water can actually drip down and away from the brush, which I found dried my brushes faster.

The Benjabelle has 14 silicone/rubber (not sure) slots designed to fit brushes of all sizes. All you have to do is insert your brushes from the bottom and push them up. I found that if I didn’t push the brushes all the way up so that the rubber was around the ferrule, my brushes would start to slowly fall.

I also found that if I placed a really skinny brush in it, it would hang at an angle. It really bothered me because all the others were hanging straight down. Glad to say that I found an easy fix for it. Just stick in some more brushes! It made room for more slots and they all hung straight down. When they are all dry all you have to do is pull the brush out from the top.

I got to say that I really love this and I’m so glad that I purchased it!

Our brushes are an investment whether it be a big or small amount. No one wants to replace brushes over and over again because they are falling apart. The Benjabelle is definitely an important step in caring for your brushes in the right way.

If you are interested in purchasing the Benjabelle you can purchase it here for $34.95 plus s & h. They offer it in 3 different colors: Black , Pink, and White.

If for some reason you don’t like it, they offer an awesome return policy. I love companies that stand behind their products!
